On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the Rescue Mission serves a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner to the homeless and hungry of Las Vegas. Another annual tradition is that 9 year old Blaze Trumble and his family come to give coats, blankets and gloves to the homeless to help with cold days and nights (see www.blazeswish.com for this inspiring story), along with our partners at WalMart – so many are given warm clothes. Over 100 volunteers were here to help as we served over 1,200 meals, gave away over 1,000 blankets and coats. Thank you to all of our volunteers, to WalMart, to Blaze and to our generous Las Vegas community for the abundant food donations!!

Big congratulations to these 18 men and women who have recently completed their year-long residential recovery program here and the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Celebrating the commencement of these individuals is such a highlight here at the Mission. Please help us pray for them as they continue their successful walk with Him and live productive and meaningful lives.
