Who we are

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission strives to be a model in providing hope and change for the homeless. Since 1970, the Mission has been providing hope and change to the homeless, addicted, mentally ill, and others in need. As the only agency left in town that can treat absolutely everyone, no matter their means, we make sure that no individual or family who is in legitimate need has to go without. In 2022, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission provided assistance to thousands of people who were homeless. We served 221,695 meals, provided 36,872 nights of shelter, gave 2,119 people clothing and basic necessities, and placed 85 women, 60 men, and 46 families into permanent housing. Beyond food, clothing, and shelter, the Mission operates a 6-month residential addiction and recovery program where men and women learn skills to empower them to become sober.

Our Campaign Vision

There are hundreds of individuals and families living on the streets and struggling to find food and shelter. They have lost everything but still hope for a better future thanks to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. We are here to help them during their time of need. We are giving them a place to stay, providing them with nourishing meals, helping them remove barriers to accessing housing, and offering recovery programs to empower those who need it to become sober. But after many decades of service to the homeless, our buildings are beginning to wear down and we have to turn people away due to a lack of space. Our vision is to create a larger, modern campus that will help them regain their dignity and build better lives. We need your help so we can help them! Join us by supporting our campaign today.

There are hundreds of homeless women and children.  The Rescue Mission addresses the needs of the homeless by proving them with shelter, meals, and all of the services they need to stay together.  This new facility will consist of three floors spread over 29,500 square feet.  The first floor includes a children’s indoor area, a family area, a computer room, a children’s outdoor area, and many more spaces that provide opportunities for families to come together. The second and third floors include the main living areas, a training room, living room, family room, kids toy room, study area, and lounge area.  This space, when filled with women and children, will come to life and have a home environment that offers shelter, tranquility and peace of mind.  Most importantly, the Shelter of Hope offers blessings beyond the bright lights and harsh living of the streets.

We envision a place that provides a warm welcome to those seeking refuge form the harsh streets of Las Vegas. This journey begins at the Rescue Mission’s intake and administrative building.  When they enter, they are greeted by friendly staff who will address their immediate needs and begin to take them in for shelter. Due to the complex nature of a clients’ needs, they may often spend several hours with staff during the intake process.  The new building will offer more space for our program staff, community gatherings and place to meet with clients.

Building a Better Future

This campaign will transform the way services are provided to homeless individuals and families in our community. We want to end homelessness one person or family at a time. In order to do this, we are adjusting the way we address homelessness.

With your support, we will transform our current facilities into a modern campus that will serve the homeless and empower them to rebuild their lives. We will be able to expand our programs and offer new ones that will help get people off the street and closer to self-sufficiency.
