Mental Health Therapist

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM) is looking for a Mental Health Therapist (approximately 20hrs a week) to join their clinical team. LVRM is looking to contract with someone who is already paneled with insurance and can bill for services or will contract directly with LVRM for a rate.  LVRM currently operates as a Low Intensity Residential Treatment facility for those with a substance abuse disorder. This position will be responsible for screenings, assessments, individual sessions, and group facilitation. The Mental Health Therapist will attend team meetings to identify who should be sent for screenings based on initial assessments. The Therapist must comply with all standards and directions specified by the designated Recovery Supervisor, Clinical Director, COO, CEO, Board of Directors, and Mission policies. They will directly report to the Recovery Supervisor and Clinical Director.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in appropriate fields (social work, clinical counseling, marriage and family, psychology, etc.)
• Internship status or Licensed as an appropriate mental health therapist (MFT, LCSW, or CPC)
• Previous experience working with addictions populations preferred

• Knowledgeable about best practices, least restrictive level of care, and community resources for vulnerable clients needing behavioral health treatment

• Group Facilitation
• Motivational Interviewing/ Person Centered Practices
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with LVRM employment policies and standards
• Excellent verbal, written interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience using Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Healthy personal boundaries
• Respectful of cultural diversity
