DrugDDrug and Alcohol Counselor

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is looking for a Counselor to join our team. We are a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for adult men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and/or addiction.

The Counselor position is for a Residential level of care. They will maintain a case load of 15-25 clients. They will facilitate weekly individual and group sessions as assigned. This position will utilize appropriate screenings, complete full biopsychosocials with DSM 5 diagnosis and ASAM Placement Criteria. The Counselor will initiate treatment plans with updated assessments monthly. They will also initiate discharge planning and work with case management throughout treatment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum enrolled in Bachelors program that is accredited
  • CADC, LADC, Intern Status, or can qualify for internship through the State Board
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable populations required

  • HMIS Data Entry/ EHR experience
  • Experience using Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, offering a competitive benefit package and paid vacation.  Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
